LuLu's Consignment Boutique is not a thrift store, we represent thousands of consignors and their amazing items. 

We do not pay you outright for your items. You will receive 40% (of the selling price), 50% for any items priced $100+, 60% for handbags priced $300+, once the item sells. 

WE ACCEPT WOMENS-MENS-CHILDRENS, DECOR, FURNITURE, ART, DISHES, & VINTAGE ITEMS.

Items we are unable to accept are automatically donated to Council on Aging which benefits our local Meals on Wheels.

Once you bring in your consignment items (during our drop off week) you can fill a tote of ours (18 gallon, like laundry basket size) they will be moved to our storage. Items wait up to 70 days average until we can process. We do not look at them while you are there. It is a “drop and run” process. We are there to answer basic questions if needed. We take in about 100 people a day. This is why we take seasons in advance. The 60 day selling period does not start until your items are on our sales floor. The current month we are processing is posted on your consignor access dashboard for your convenience.

Your items have 60 days to sell (this countdown starts the day we put your item on the sales floor). Any unsold items you would like to claim from the sales floor must be done prior to your 60 day end date. Any item left after the 60 days will become property of LuLu's Consignment. 

We do all of the pricing and research. An item is worth only what a customer is willing to pay for it. We welcome information on custom/unique items that have no markings for us to research.

As soon as one of your items is purchased, your account is automatically credited for your percentage of the sold item. LuLu’s offers online account access so you can tell what has sold and what is unsold. You may come to the store and pick up your available balance any time during normal business hours.

Our intake is located at the back of our building (white french doors) Empty totes are either inside or out please leave your filled tote inside. Put a paper on top with name/account #/phone# please do not tape it. We will log it in and put the paper on the bottom .

We accept consignments every third full week of the month - dates will always be posted front page of website.

During that week we take drops Monday - Saturday 10-5

• You’re allowed 5 additional items outside your tote that will not fit in your tote. (example: lamps, mirrors, large artwork, children’s toys.)

• larger items not able to fit into your tote must also be marked prior to arrival with your name or number blue tape works best

• Do not be alarmed if your larger items get priced before your tote. Items outside your tote are often expedited because they don’t fit in our shelving.and your tote will still be coming through in the normal time frame (9 weeks).

• We do not accept items in trash bags left in our totes, items must be neatly transferred over with clothing removed off of hangers, and neatly folded.

We base our consignment guidelines on 20 years of experience and sales trends. If you will be offended for any reason if your items are donated on your behalf, please do not plan to leave them. Below, we provide extensive guidelines, but ultimately, we make the decision as to what goes on our sales floor.

In general everything must be sales floor ready (clean, working, while following our guidelines). If we are unable to take more than 80% of your items you will risk account closure.

• Clothing items must be three years old or less. (exceptions are vintage and classic styles)

• Shoes must be great shape and clean on the inside

• Baby items: strollers, highchairs, cribs, Pack N' Plays, & baby equipment must be 6 years old or less and not on recall or expired.

• Items/Toys with multiple parts must be put together before bringing to consign. The only exception to this rule is if they are new in package.

• All baby equipment must be free of stains, food, and be in immaculate condition, put up/together before you leave.

• Glassware/dishes (unless vintage) must be in sets of 4 or greater(not serving dishes)These items must be recently put through a dishwasher & wrapped & put in cardboard boxes. We do take nicer crystal but in general clear glassware does not sell.

• Items with pet hair will be donated

• We do not accept used sheets/towels/bedding

• Please be aware that if your items have any odor at all like smoke/mothballs they will be immediately disposed of and your account will be closed

• Limit of 10 per drop off on books, record albums, kids DVDs, shoes

• All jewelry limit of 10 we only take jewelry with a retail of $30 or more each item. We do well selling high end & vintage jewelry. Watches must work and must have a retail of $100 or more.

• Phone cases 1 yr old or less worth at least $10 resale

• Lamps must work & have a light-bulb, a $1 fee per bulb will be charged on the account if missing. No stained or yellowed shades.

• Items that require batteries must have working batteries as everything must be displayed in working order.

• Dry cleaning tags must be removed.

• Scarves are not good sellers unless cashmere , silk or unique.

• When bringing items with any loose parts please make sure they are very clean and all parts are in a ziploc bag and taped to the item, any info/instructions are appreciated especially on complicated toy sets

• Handbags & wallets must have a resale value of at least $30 each & be stain/wear free. Please empty before bringing.

• Baby/Kid's clothes -place laundered outfits/sets together laid flat in our tote, we cannot match outfits if all items are presented thrown in the tote.

In a nutshell, we strongly suggest you walk through our store before you decide to consign, this gives you a much clearer understanding of what we are taking & selling. We take things customers are willing to buy, near perfect, desirable items.

• Bedding: We only accept comforters new in the package. We do accept gently used or new quilts/duvet covers/pillow shams that are the following high-end brands or similarly styled to the following brands - anthropologie, restoration hardware, pottery barn, sundance. There are always of course some exceptions such as beautiful handmade items that have sold well in the past

• We always welcome our consignors to email us photos of unsure items for review.

We are pleased you want to join in our success! BY LEAVING YOUR ITEMS FOR CONSIGNMENT YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE BELOW TERMS:

You will receive 40% of the selling price of your items, items priced above $100 you will receive 50% of the selling price. Your items have 60 days to sell (this starts the day we put your item on our sales floor)The selling price can be reduced by us at any time (we offer a military discount) and reserve the right to put items on sale at any time per our discretion. Any UNSOLD items you would like to claim from the sales floor must be done prior to your 60 day end date.

IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO PICK UP YOUR ITEMS BEFORE YOUR 60 DAY END DATE THEY WILL CONVERT TO THE PROPERTY OF LULU’S CONSIGNMENT. We do not contact you in any way. We provide an online account portal for you to track your items, balance etc. We do our best to safeguard your items but cannot be responsible for customer damage or theft. A small buyers fee is added to your items to cover our processing expense, this fee is paid by the buyer, not you, the consignor.

You risk account closure by leaving COUNTERFEIT items or not pre-sorting your items according to our guidelines. Stop in any time we are open to collect money owed to you on your account (a check can be mailed upon request for a $1 processing fee by calling our store)

You UNDERSTAND ALL ITEMS WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT WILL BE DONATED TO A LOCAL WORTHY CAUSE

This is a trust based business. We have been here 20 years and would not risk our integrity by unnecessarily donating your items. We do not keep notes on every single thing donated that is impossible. Please realize if it is not on your account there was a reason. The only one who benefits from donation of items is you by getting a donation receipt directly from Council on Aging of Etowah or Hendersonville.
